Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional English-speaking safari driver-guide. After a short briefing, transfer to Arusha Serena Hotel, Resort & Spa, beautifully set along the shores of Lake Duluti with views of Mount Meru. The remainder of the day is at leisure to relax after your international journey. Enjoy the tranquil gardens, optional spa treatments, or a sunset walk around the property.

Day 2 Arusha to Lake Manyara

After breakfast, depart Arusha and drive toward Lake Manyara National Park, a compact yet ecologically diverse reserve famous for its groundwater forests and soda lake ecosystem. Arrive at Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge in time for lunch overlooking the Rift Valley escarpment. In the afternoon (approx. 15:00 hrs), embark on your first safari experience. Lake Manyara is renowned for:  Tree-climbing lions  Large elephant herds  Hippos in the lake  Flamingos and abundant birdlife Return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 Lake Manyara to Serengeti

After breakfast, journey toward the world-famous Serengeti National Park. En route, visit a traditional Maasai Village, where you will gain insight into Maasai customs, warrior traditions, and village life. This cultural interaction adds an authentic dimension to your safari experience. Continue into Serengeti with game viewing along the way. Arrive at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge for lunch. In the late afternoon (approx. 16:00 hrs), depart for an evening game drive in Central Serengeti. The vast savannah plains are home to:  Lions resting under acacia trees  Cheetahs scanning for prey  Leopards in riverine forests  Wildebeest and zebra herds (seasonal migration dependent) Return to lodge for dinner under the African sky

Day 4 Serengeti Full-Day Safari

Today is dedicated entirely to exploring the magnificent Serengeti ecosystem. Enjoy both morning and afternoon game drives, or opt for a packed picnic lunch to maximise your wildlife viewing time. The Serengeti offers some of Africa’s finest predator sightings and is globally renowned for the Great Migration (seasonal). Expect vast landscapes dotted with:  Elephant families  Towering giraffes  Hyena clans  Topi and gazelle  Crocodiles along riverbanks Return to your lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Day 5 Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, depart Serengeti and drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Descend 600 metres into the Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as “Africa’s Eden.” This natural amphitheatre supports over 25,000 animals within its enclosed ecosystem. Highlights include:  Black rhino sightings (rare but possible)  Large lion prides  Buffalo and elephant herds  Hippo pools and flamingos Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor before ascending to Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge, perched dramatically along the crater rim.

Day 6 Ngorongoro to Arusha

After breakfast, drive back to Arusha. En route, optional stop at the Cultural Heritage Centre for souvenirs and local crafts. Arrive at Arusha Serena Hotel and enjoy the afternoon at leisure before your beach extension.

Day 7 Arusha to Zanzibar

After breakfast, transfer to Arusha Airport for your scheduled flight to Zanzibar (Flight TC 137). Upon arrival at Abeid Karume International Airport, transfer to TUI BLUE Bahari Zanzibar, a luxury beachfront resort on the northeast coast. In the evening, enjoy a guided walking tour of Stone Town, exploring:  Sultan’s Palace  House of Wonders  Old Slave Market  Narrow Swahili streets & spice markets Return to resort for overnight stay.

Day 8 Zanzibar Leisure

Day 9 Prison Island & Spice Tour

After breakfast, embark on a half-day excursion to Prison Island, home to giant Aldabra tortoises. Enjoy swimming or snorkelling in crystal-clear waters. Later, experience Zanzibar’s legendary Spice Tour, discovering cloves, vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon, and tropical fruits that earned Zanzibar the title “Spice Island.” Return to your beach resort for a relaxing final evening
